A STITCH IN TIME
8X10

We all carry scars, evidence of the stitching required to move on after being wounded. There are any number of weapons capable of inflicting wounds in need of such stitching to heal. Disease, accident, abuse, abandonment, or other trauma can leave us afloat in a sea of distress. The trick is to recognize that we are strongest where the stitching has prevented infection from setting in. Our scars give us purchase. There is security in recognizing the universality of imperfection. It creates a bridge spanning the distance between us.
